Thanks Robin. Happy to test if/when you need it.admin wrote: Wed Mar 29, 2023 12:12 pm Hi,
yes, this is till on the TODO list - I would like to have some sort of version available this year. I am working on more basic aspects of a future planetary imaging sequencing tool like autoexposure at the moment.
Nice solar image too!
cheers,
Robin

Re: How do I automate a Lunar mosaic with SC?
Thank you Dave. Used my Tak106 + DayStar Quark + 174mm camera. Best 25% of 5000 images taken (~1mS exposures). Processed per Simon Tang video with Autostakert, Imppg, Ps.turfpit wrote: Wed Mar 29, 2023 1:30 pm A great solar image - worth posting in the gallery. Any details on capture/processing welcome.

Re: How do I automate a Lunar mosaic with SC?
Just to let everyone who is interested in mosaics know that I am now working on a Lunar mosaic tool for SharpCap 4.1 (early days yet, but I have worked out a lot of the maths necessary to do things like calculate moon orientation, etc). This will be followed by a solar mosaic tool, and once I have the basic framework, I should imagine that a deep sky version would be possible too.

Robin

Hi folks,
progress on this is slow but steady - no way to actually take a mosaic yet, but a lot of work done on planning how the panels need to be laid out and illustrating how it will work
cheers,
Robin

Re: How do I automate a Lunar mosaic with SC?
Hi,
for those interested in this topic, the latest beta version of SharpCap 4.1 contains the first prototype of the mosaic feature.
Please see this forum post for more details : viewtopic.php?t=6521
Note that this is not a finished feature yet - it's a work in progress and I am keen to get feedback about it.
thanks,
Robin

This is great news, I’ve been hoping this feature would be added, especially for solar imaging. Thanks!
