In DeepSky Annotation Result
I would like to add an asteroid for example Ceres
I tried PASTING from the clipboard using the following string
1 Ceres | 1 Ceres | 12h 35m 10.9s | +14° 38' 32" | 6.9 |||
but nothing happens
however in Settings tab the following line appears
Pasted from Clipboard (1 Objects)
if instead I insert the following line
NGC 3604 | 11h 18m 43s | +4° 25' 39" | Galaxy | 11.9 |||
the following message appears: SharpCap found 1 lines of text on the clipboard, but could not load any catalog entries from them.
Surely I'm wrong
Carlo

Re: Annotation paste custom object: asteroid
Hi Carlo,
you have the format slightly wrong - in the first case SharpCap is is using the declination as RA and the magnitude as declination. In the second case the columns that SharpCap looks in for co-ordinates do not contain numbers, so the whole thing fails
The right format is
The first six columns are ID, Name, Type, RA, Dec and Magnitude respectively.
cheers,
Robin

Code: Select all
