This happened to me last night. Latest SC Pro. Although files not lost. Whole bunch of new folders created with 1 or 2 Fits files in each. Related to me enabling 'save every X minutes'. I put in 6. Thinking it was minutes, but maybe it defaulted to seconds? Although I was able to see two stacks (folders) that actually had around 239 Fits files for that 6 minutes, without changing any settings. Weird thing is, the 2nd stacks (raw saved), when loaded the next day to stack, stack as first set even though images are clearly different. In GIMP and Autostakkert, they show as different, but no SC.

Hi,

not quite sure what to make of this - the 'save and reset every...' is definitely in minutes, although there are other things that will cause the stack to save and reset - for instance changing between 8 and 16 bit modes, changing resolution, etc, which could account for some of the short stacks.

cheers,

Robin

Greetings Robin,

All I can say is that your responsiveness is really unheard of in the software industry.
Thank you for the new options in save all as it can perfectly meet anyone's needs!

p.s. when is the non-beta 4.1 (including comet mode) coming out?

Hi Randall,

I think it will probably be 'summer sometime' (*) before the full version of 4.1 is available. I have at least one significant feature that is planned but unstarted and a lot of small tweaks that will improve other features to do. On top of that, there are the usual bug fixes, support, etc. Gotta keep busy ;)

cheers,

Robin
