Read above and compare to the last paragraph in the tips below:

It seems the information in the tips are contradictory... Or perhaps it is not contradictory, and I am reading it wrong?

When I live screen Save All are flats and darks applied to my saved files? First tip says no, second tip implies yes?
When I live screen Save Stacked are flats and darks applied to saved stack? First tip says no, second tip implies yes?

In the last paragraph of the "Organize and use..." & "Dust shadow..." tips it states: "Using dark frame subtraction will apply not only to the frames as displayed on screen, but also to the captured frames saved to file." Maybe these paragraphs could use a little clarification if it is not referring to Save All or Save Stacked options.

Hi,

I think it could do with being a little clearer, but the tips themselves have to be relatively short (rather than pages of text).

Save RAW from live stacking saves with *NO PROCESSING* - the data that comes off the camera is what gets written to file. This allows for full reprocessing of the data later if you want. The processing settings affect the data before it is added to the stack.

When not live stacking, the processing controls such as dark, flat, background subtraction etc do affect the saved files. If they didn't then they would be fairly useless except while live stacking.

cheers,

Robin
