Quick Picks - Set your own values?

#1

Post by Xio1996 »

Hi everybody,

I was wondering if there was a way of setting your own sub times in the Quick Picks drop-down? It would be nice to remove the values I don't use and add in some exposures times I do.

Many thanks

Hi Pete,

unfortunately that list is fixed, with a sample of typical exposure times included.

One possibility for you would be to set up capture profiles for the settings that you commonly use and save those - that would allow quick switching of not only the exposure but also of any other settings that need to be changed alongside it (see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Capture%20Profiles)

Another quick way to get an exact exposure is to type the value into the box that shows the numeric exposure length. For instance you can type '13s' or '21ms' into that box and then press <TAB> or <ENTER> and the value will be applied.

Hope this helps,

Robin
