Under File | SharpCap Settings | Memory
I can increase the amount of RAM allocated to SharCap.
Default is 2GB but Pro users can increase that value.
I purchase a Pro license, installed it and it was accepted, yet I still cannot increase the
amount of RAM dedicated to SharpCap.
Am I missing something ?
thanks,
Philippe

Re: How do I increase memory allocated to SharpCap
Hi Phillipe,
the total of the two sliders is limited even for Pro users to prevent you from using so much that your PC stops responding.
The limit for the total of the two sliders is
* Half of physical memory of computer if your physical memory is up to 12Gb
* Physical memory - 6Gb for physical memory above 6Gb (this gives a bigger maximum for machines with lots of memory - new in SharpCap 4 and the documentation probably doesn't mention it).
Because of this limit (you can read more about it in the user manual here : https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Memory%20Tab) you may need to lower one of the sliders to raise the other. For instance if you are not live stacking, you may be able to reduce that slider somewhat to assign more for high speed imaging.
Hope this makes sense,
Robin
