v4.0.9455.0 64bit issue with Altair 183c v1

I recently updated to v4.0.9455.0 64bit. Upon using it I ran into some rather interesting issues.
Camera: Altair 183c v1
1: Actual exposure time does not match the set exposure time. Ex. set to 10s, actual will fluctuate but never reach 10s

2: Changing USB speed changes brightness of exposure. USB 0 speed images are brighter than 1. USB 1 speed images are brighter than 2.
This is even obvious in the histogram, so it's not display issue

Here is the full v4.0.9455.0 64bit log.

Here is the full v4.0.8894.0 64bit log.
v4.0.8894.0 64bit log.txt

As you can see, v4.0.9455.0 64bit simply will not pull proper exposure times. I started rolling back every few releases until I found a release that worked like it should. Even the August release v.4.0.9226.0 was broken.

Regarding the weird USB speed affecting the histogram: If need be, I can reinstall the current release and screengrab a vid of this happening. Just let me know.

Hi,

interesting... we have had two Altair SDK updates since the 4.0.8894 build that you have working correctly (the first of the two was on 4th May, so probably is in the next version after 8894). That's definitely the most likely cause of this sort of change.

Unfortunately I don't have a V1 183C (or anything similar) here to test with - I have a newer 183CPRO and a PROTEC and they both seem to work fine.

I will have to chat to Altair to see if they have any samples to test this with - if they can replicate the issue then it ought to be possible to get the SDK fixed.

cheers,

Robin

Hi,

I've reported the issue to Altair - if you have the serial number of your camera (you can find this in AltairCapture) then it would be helpful for me to pass this on so that they can be sure of the exact model/version. Please send the serial number by personal message (PM) here on the forums if you can.

thanks,

Robin
