Does the ADC alignment tool work for surfaces? It seems like it is designed only for planets. How should I adjust my ADC for imaging the Moon? Nearby star maybe?
Thanks.
How do I adjust my ADC for the Moon?

Re: How do I adjust my ADC for the Moon?
Hi,
yes, a nearby bright star might well be the best bet - possibly slightly out of focus to get an unsaturated disk rather than a saturated bright point.
The other possibility might be to have the top/bottom edge of the moon in view where you will see the dispersion effect on the limb of the disc. Not sure that the measurement code will pick that one up nicely though, but it might work for manual alignment.
cheers,
Robin
