File naming hepl

#1

Post by Johnris »

Hi,
I take all my calibration frames in sharpcap. I then need to transfer them to a working directory that my other program (isis) can use. BUT isis requires
That all files be named sequentiality for example bias-1.fits, bias-2.fits and so forth. How can I automate this in the file naming section or elsewhere so I don’t have to rename all the files every time. Thanks john

Hi,

it sounds like you want to use SharpCap's filename template system to customize the file naming to match your requirements - you can find info about this in the documentation here : https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Filename%20Templates

There is a lot of flexibility - hopefully enough to cover what you need to do.

thanks,

Robin
