Save and Reset in Livestacking

#1

Post by garyhawkins »

Hi Robin,

I use ShaprCap mainly for photometry these days. It would be helpful to Livestack based on a smaller time increment or the number of exposures rather than time.

Assuming, I've not missed something that's already possible, could the Save and Reset part of the Livestack functionality be modified to either:

Save and Reset every x Exposures, rather than based on time,

OR

Add the ability, below the existing Save and Reset every x minutes, to do by # of exposures.

Further, could the time-based version be done in seconds rather than minutes?

Best regards,

Gary

Hi Robin,

Further to my first email, I discovered that Sharpcap must look at the FITS header to determine the exposure of saved images, thus allowing 'time duration' stacking while using the Folder Monitor Option, combined with LiveStaking. This is great. Let me play around with this, and see come back to you with any request for change.

Best regards,

Gary
