4) STAY ON TOPIC: These forums exist to facilitate discussions of the ‘SharpCap’ software, Astrophotography, Astronomy and related topics. Posts on other topics of general interest from established forum members are acceptable, but please ensure that your first few posts are entirely ‘on topic’ when you join the forums. Posts on Politics, Religion or other subjects identified by the ADMIN as contentious are not allowed.
5) DO NOT POST “OFFENSIVE” posts, links or images. Any material which constitutes defamation, harassment, or abuse is strictly prohibited. Material that is sexually or otherwise obscene, racist, or otherwise overly discriminatory is not permitted on these forums. This includes links, images and profile pictures.
6) RESPECT: Please treat all users of this board with the same level of respect that you expect to be treated with by others.
7) LANGUAGE: Obscene language should be avoided. If you wouldn't say it in front of small children then don't post it on the forums.

10) KEEP THREAD SUBJECTS DESCRIPTIVE AND SENSIBLE. The thread subject should give a good indication of what the thread is about. Do not post threads titled 'Help Please', use titles like 'Problem with RAW capture on ASCOM cameras' instead.
11) LICENSE TO PUBLISH CONTENT. By posting on the forums, you agree grant us a non-exclusive, royalty free, permanent, irrevocable, sub-licensable, transferrable, worldwide license to publish the content of your post. We need this license in order to publish the content you have posted to others.
12) NO BUYING/SELLING. Advertising of items for sale or items wanted is not allowed on the forum. Advertising posts will be removed without warning and offenders may be banned.
13) NO COMMERCIAL POSTS. No posts by commercial organisations, i.e. retailers, traders etc of a commercial nature without prior permission of the admins. This includes using a company name as your username and links to commercial sites in signatures.
14) NO SITE SPAMMING: Any posts considered spam by the Moderators or Admin will be removed and posters may be permanently banned.
15) ADMIN and/or MODERATORS may delete content in contravention of these rules without warning. ADMIN may ban, block or delete accounts if persistent contravention of rules occurs, or if initial posts contravene these rules.

Creating an Account
When you create an account you will be sent an email message to confirm your email address. You will not be able to login or post until you have clicked on the link in this message. If you do not receive the message straight away then please check your 'Spam' or 'Junk Mail' folders as sometimes your email program or ISP may have classed it as junk email. Sometimes the message can be delayed - if you have not seen this message within 12 hours of registering, please use the contact form to get in touch with the admin.
You must complete a 'recaptcha' quiz and answer a simple question to allow your registration to proceed - these are to keep the number of people posting junk messages to the boards down to a manageable level. If you cannot see the recapatcha because you cannot contact Google servers then you may need to contact admin to get an account set up for you.
Your first post
Your first post must be approved by a moderator or admin before it becomes visible. This approach is required to prevent junk messages advertising everything from running shoes to diet pills appearing on the forums. First messages will usually be approved within 12 hours but sometimes it may take up to 24 hours for one of the admin team to approve your message. Please try to be patient and don't duplicate your post while waiting - thanks!
