Sensor Analysis not completing

#1

Post by Galileo »

Hi Robin thanks for a great product.

My sensor analysis routine won't complete. it stops during the binning checking at the end of the process.

It worked the first time then I tried to run it again with a better light source then it wouldn't complete.

Log attached.

Thanks in advance

David

Hi David,

it looks like the camera is not restarting properly after the switch to 2x2 bin mode - ie after that switch, SharpCap is not getting any frames. Tryicky to work out why with an ASCOM driver based camera (it's entirely possible that it is a glitch in the ASCOM driver). The simplest thing to do is to disable the binning check (there's a tick box at the start of the analysis to do this). For a CMOS camera you don't really get much from the binning check, since the recommended exposures will not change at different binning levels for CMOS (they do for CCD).

cheers,

Robin
