Pop out and maximise live stack view

#1

Post by Oberon510 »

Is there a way to maximise the image view during a live stack? I sometimes have people over and I want to just project the stacking image on the full screen - sometimes to an external bigger monitor. Also in full screen it removes all the windows bright and shiny stuff so the projection is not blinding our night adjusted vision.

This is good at star parties too as people pass by for a look and I am not causing too much light pollution to the other astro-mites.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Hi Ken,

there is a way, but the best way relies on you having two monitors - basically you can enable the two monitor view in SharpCap, which leaves the normal view on the first monitor and puts a full screen view of the image on the second monitor. If you are live stacking, it also increases the height of the live stack area so you can have access to several of the live stack tabs at once (on the first monitor).

If you don't have a second monitor then you can do this...

* Unpin the controls (on the right) and the live stack panel at the bottom - this makes them hide away at the side of the screen automatically when not in use
* Go into full screen mode to hide the menu, taskbar (press F11 or View->Full Screen).

If you are in full screen mode you can get to the menu/taskbar by moving the mouse to the top of the screen.

Hope this helps,

Robin

Thanks Robin - suspected there must be something in the SharpCap bag of tricks.

Much appreciated,
