Does anyone have any actual sensor analysis data on this new camera that they'd be willing to share here?
I would be very interested to see it, as there is currently nothing on Altair's website to judge from.
Cheers,
Minos

...as an update to myself and others, I did find a senor analysis data table on the TS product page for this camera:

Hi! The above results are actually mine from the first sensor analysis i did. I have since run it again and got very similar results (as you would hope for and expect).
Unity gain is about 565.
Hope this helps!

Seems like gain 200 is where the low gain conversion to high gain conversion step occurs.

Re: Altair Hypercam 269C Sensor Analysis?
I have not been able to find the answer to this question: if I am in High Conversion mode, am I supposed to set the gain at 565 and it then converts to 282 (as some sites suggest) or am I supposed to set it at 282? I tried Altairs support with their Facebook site but got more confused after reading it. Am hoping someone knows the simple answer.
Thank you!!
Thank you!!

Hi,
SharpCap does the HCG/LCG mode switch for you automatically at the appropriate point in the gain range.
So for instance, on the 269, HCG is turned on above gain 200. A gain of 565 in SharpCap will be HCG on (2x gain) and a raw gain value of 282, to give a total gain of 5.65x .
cheers,
Robin
