Problem with Platesolving version 4.0
I have a problem with Sharcap Pro in the current 4.0 64 bit version with Platesolving. The test with Astrotorilla is successful. I use an EQ8-R with Synscan APP under Ascom and a QHY 268C. I have stored focal length and chip data correctly.
With Sharpcap 3.2 64 bit, platesoving works perfectly.
The gain and offset values are identical in both versions.
What can be the reason?
Many greetings
Thomas

Re: Problem with Platesolving version 4.0
Hi,
the first thing to try is to disable the use of the focal length - that's the biggest change between 3.2 and 4.0 in terms of running the plate solving application. If that fixes it then you can look at the field of view calculated by the plate solving and check that your focal length is really what you think it is (we've seen a couple of cases where either users were forgetting about things like flatteners/reducers, or the focal length wasn't quite what it said on the side of the telescope!)
cheers
Robin

Re: Problem with Platesolving version 4.0
By deactivating the fixed and "correctly" set focal length, solving now works in the current version.
