I use telescopius.com or Stellarium for framing targets. Besides RA/DEC one also gets the camera rotation in degrees. That is the camera rotation in regard to Polaris. This piece of information works with/is derived from plate solving hand in hand.
Is there a way to present such information in SharpCap?

Re: Framing and camera rotation
Hi,
if you run the plate solving in SharpCap then the notification when successful includes the rotation in the form 'up is 123 degrees E of N'. If you miss that then the text shown is stored in the log.
Latest versions of SC4 contain support for motorized ASCOM rotator devices, which can be used to rotate the camera to get correct framing.
cheers,
Robin
