Hi,
Today I tried to analyze an old camera QHY10-C but could not get
anything useful,
First of all the preview window stayed dark, even pointing the camera
to the window with a lot of light!
When trying to cool the camera the current temp reading was not changing
at all eventhough the camera/cooling works great using EZCAP.
I had a couple of crashes but as not connected to internet so I have the
crash-logs which I will include here. ( 32bit version as well as 64bit version )
I upgraded to the last version 4.xxxxxx today with the same results.
Any hint or thought about this would be apreciated!
My other cameras ( all of them ZWO ASI cameras ) work without
any problem at all.
Thanks for your atention,
Lammertus

Re: Trying to do sensor analisis QHY10-C
Hi,
I'm sorry to say that as far as I can tell the latest SDK updates from QHY do not support their 'classic' series of cameras like the 10C very well. From your logs I can see that the SDK is giving errors when starting exposures, either straight away when starting the camera or after a few frames.
Unfortunately there is relatively little I can suggest to help with this - I don't have a 'classic' QHY camera to test or work with. It may be worth trying to find/use an ASCOM driver for your camera or even reporting the bug to QHY. I do report such issues to them, but they may be more responsive to customer reports.
cheers,
Robin
