Hi Mike,
yes, I've reported the issue to QHY and they are going to look into it. Now I undestand the actual issue I can recreate if I need to show the bug again.
cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin
Has this issue been resolved yet? I'd like to purchase the 'pro' license but this is a deal breaker.

Sadly no, I tested last week with the latest QHY SDK I downloaded and the bug is still there. You might want to report the issue on the QHY forums to give them a bit of a prod - I remind them every now and then, but requests from actual customers might carry a bit of extra weight.
cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin
I've just downloaded V3.1.5191. It looks to me that the QHY noise issue has largely been resolved, is that true are we back to V2.8 image quality? I noticed in the revision history you mention a new QHY API. I seem to need different (faster) exposure settings when compared to V2.8 but nothing like as fast as V2.9 - V3.0, perhaps half of what I'd previously used in V2.8. Could you comment on this please?
Regards
Mike

Re: Noisy image QHY5LII-C
Hi Mike,
did you try turning the R/G/B colour balance sliders all the way down? As I understand it on this model these sliders now act as an additional gain for each colour channel, so unless turned down you will be getting a higher gain and hence shorter exposure.
cheers,
Robin
