Deepsky imaging during traffic passing

Hello SC, we use our scope in Amsterdam, every 2 minutes a big bus is passing.
During passing we see it in the view.

Now, maybe your software can help, the function Seeing Monitoring and Auto Capture can help.

I really would like to make short exposures and only the sharp ons to be used for life stack.

To short exposures will give not usable pictures and to long will be affected by the vibrations of the bus.

Pls advice how to improve our results.

Greetings Hugo,

Have you tried using the "Filter (FWHM)" feature during live-stacking? It allows you to set an adjustable filter that will automatically reject exposures that are affected by poor seeing conditions or clouds. It might also work for the condition you describe. You will have to adjust the filter so that it keeps the good exposures and only rejects the ones with the bus. I don't know if it will work but it's worth a try.

Also, maybe you could try imaging objects that are higher in the sky so that the bus does not interfere, or pick another observing location?
