Taking dark-flats with Hyperstar

#1

Post by psy1280 »

I was wondering if anyone has a secret for taking dark-flats with the Hyperstar connected to the front of the corrector plate. Currently I've been draping a dark coat over the dew shield (with the Hyperstar enclosed).

Thanks for other solutions,
Joe

Do you have the filter holder in train?
If so, get a dark filter - completely cuts out all light.
If you don’t have the filter holder, it’s hard to keep the camera temperature steady, whilst still cutting out light with a cover…

Unfortunately I"m using the Hyperstar on the front corrector plate...not much choice but to cover the dew shield where the camera is encased...or am I missing something (won't be the first time, LOL)

Thanks for the suggestion

Celkins,
Sorry, I misinterpreted your response...yes, I do have a filter in the train! You are right! I'll do that.

Much thanks!!
