Sorry Menno, I didn't know that ZWO had quirky cameras.

The ASI294MC is known to have some quirkiness :) According to Zwo it's because of "the characteristics of the 294 sensor". But it's not only Zwo: other manufacturers who used the 294 sensor also had this.
It's not a bad camera, it just has a manual of its own within the main manual :)

Menno,
Let me offer you a well-deserved, 'hi-five!' For the past year and a half I have struggled with the 294's vignetting....and I do mean struggle!!! Last night following your formula (50 dark subtractions; 50 flats; 2 second exposure at 120 gain)...I had, not only good success, but GREAT success. This was the first and only time my image had no vignetting. I'm still amazed...I guess I never thought the 294 was capable of eliminating the over-correction vignetting that has plagued me.

I can't thank you enough...lots of good karma coming your way this morning.

Menno, my one (and only) Zwo camera now identifies as a hockey puck. It made that decision the moment its warranty expired.

Menno, I spent many teenage years watching Monty Python's Flying Circus, so that explains my dry sense of humor.
