Using a second laptop in SharpCap

#1

Post by psy1280 »

How hard is it to set up a second laptop to view a SharpCap image? And will the second laptop image fill the entire screen or just a portion of it? I'd like to do some outreach and was wondering what it would take to have a second screen dedicated just to showing the LiveStack image.

Thank you,
Joe

Hi,

you can't use a second laptop, but you can certainly attach a second screen to your existing laptop using for example an HDMI cable. Once you've done this you need to tell Windows to extend the desktop onto the new screen (the other option is to show the same content on both screens). Once you've done that, SharpCap should show a two monitor icon in the toolbar (maybe you will need to restart for it to appear). Pressing that will put the main image on the second monitor leaving you with the controls on the main monitor.

Thanks, Robin
