Application of Darks and Flats in PreProcessing

I am a bit confused with this paragraph from the SharpCap Users Manual
Applying flat frame correction will affect both the image shown on screen and the image data saved to any capture file, so there is no need to apply flat frame correction in later processing if you have used flat frame correction in SharpCap.

Is this true when I capture images in a RAW format?

Hi,

Yes, even in raw mode if you have used dark subtraction, flat correction or banding suppression the changes made by those adjustments will be in the saved files. The only exception to that is if you are live stacking and also saving the unprocessed frames whilst life stacking, in which case the individual frames saved will be saved without the corrections.

Cheers, Robin

Robin,

Thank you for the quick response. I have been using Live Stack to monitor progress and saving individual frames, hence I was confused when I read that paragraph.
