Sharp cap Black and White in DSS with OSC CMOS

#1

Post by jhelum7 »

Hi folks

When I LIVESTACK in SharpCap Pro and save as .FITS file and open in DSS, no problem, I get color all through workflow into PixInsight.
If I capture lights , darks , flats separately in SharpCap using Raw 12 and save, no matter what I do, they show up as
MONOCHROME/ Black and white instead of COLOR in DSS and PixInsight. This is whether or not it is saved as .PNG, or TIFF Files.
Any suggestions as to why workflow spits out Monochromatic files when capturing and saving lights separately?
I use an Altair Hypercam 183 C (Color) Camera. Thanks

Hi,

Check out this thread and the attached documents – they should tell you everything you need to know and you can certainly apply similar techniques in pixinsight.
