Quark chromo first light

Well the Quark Chromo arrived and this morning I got a very brief look and imaging session between clouds.
Oh my goodness, I was not expecting the visual delight at all.
No time to play with tuning, but could easily see the surface detail and proms. 32mm meade plossl, in a skywatcher 102/600 stopped down to 86mm to give close to f30.
i am stoked at what I saw.
Got two vids, around 20mins apart, only 500 frames each, hasty flat, sharpcap, Astrostakkert 3, using mono altair GpCam2 and 0.5x reducer on camera.
This is going to become an obsession!

Hi Andy,

Some truly excellent images there – sorry that we all missed them when you posted six months ago but you have certainly captured some fabulous images since then.

Cheers, Robin

Thanks Robin,
Im really pissed they didn’t include Sharpcap in the software credits, i listed it in the submission of course,
And god knows where ‘image post processor’ comes from 🙄
Anyway, we know don’t we 😀♥️
