Hi,

that all looks pretty much fine, with a good final image. Your on screen images and histograms are all reasonable. It's difficult to be sure if you could perhaps get the focus any sharper - always hard with planetary imaging to work out if you are in best focus. You may also be able to bring out a little more detail using more wavelet sharpening in Registax.

well done!

Hi,

if your computer cannot save the images to disk/ssd fast enough to keep up with the camera then SharpCap will use memory to store as many images as it can to avoid them being lost. When you press 'Stop Capture', some images will still be stored in memory and need to be written to disk. This can take some time, depending on how many images and the speed of your disk.

If you press the highlighted button then SharpCap will throw away any images still held in memory rather than write them to disk. You might do this if your target drifted out of view - there is no point in saving the images still in memory as the target is not in them.

thanks,

Robin

Hi,

I'm afraid I'm no expert in how they work, but you can find lots of guides to using them by searching online.
