exposure controls backwards for logitech webcam

Don't know if this is important as it is unlikely this cam would be used for astro but it seems the exposure slider works "backwards" for Logitech HD C270.

The longest exposure (500ms) produces the darkest image, while the shortest exposure produces the brightest. Oddly, "auto" seems to be OK.

So, just FYI.

Hi,

yeah, Logitech massively goofed with their early webcam implementations and got the exposure working the wrong way round. Once upon a time they had a knowledgebase article that explained what was wrong, but I suspect that's vanished by now... The trouble is that some logitech cameras are wrong, some are right and some depend on the version of the driver, so there's really nothing to be done about it now :)

cheers,

Robin
