Yeah! The latest version 3.1.5157 worked. Whatever issue you resolved for Kapersky AV seems to be the same issue I was having. Thank you very much for your hard work tracking this bug down.

Hi Jim,
good to hear it's working now - I take it that you didn't have Kapersky installed - which AV were you using (I'm looking for any pattern here to try to understand what was causing the issue if it wasn't just Kapersky).

I am using the free version of Avast as my antivirus. It is odd however that I have only encountered this problem on my laptop and not on my desktop. Both are running the same version of Windows and the same antivirus.
