Robin,
been playing with plate solving using Test Camera 1. Open up Carte du Ciel, and slew scope to M42 via EQMOD and telescope hub.
Open up SC 2.10 v 3649 and select Test Cam1 which gives a nice image of M42. Hit the plate solve button - all works OK, but I noticed in the Scope Controls box, the Dec was reported as 05deg 13min when it should be -05d 13m - have you dropped a '-' sign somewhere? the RA, Alt and Az values seem correct.

Not a bug... 
It shows 10:15:20S rather than -10:15:20 for declinations below the celestial equator.
