Jump histogram if buffer switch to off

#1

Post by IlyaZ »

Hi
Found a somewhat strange feature
I have reproduced 100 percent (in earlier versions too)
Open softwares
Start camera (QHY163C)
Start histogram view
... The data is collected
Use DDR buffer -> OFF (default is ON)
The histogram jumps around +10 percent (after you can turn the buffer on/off - it no longer affects)
The frame also becomes lighter
If you move +/- the camera offset slider, the histogram will return to its place.

Sometimes it happens exactly to the same jump of the histogram leads the switching
colour space (RGB-RAW8-RAW16), but it is rare, reproduced poorly

Thanks for the bug report - it sounds like an issue with the QHY SDK as turning the DDR buffer on/off is very simple - SharpCap just sends a message to the SDK saying turn on or turn off. I will pass this bug on to QHY and see if they agree.

thanks,

Robin

Ah, I just realised there is a new version of the QHY SDK - I will try putting that into the next release of SharpCap - maybe they have fixed this bug already.

thanks,

Robin
