Post by ephemeris123 »

Version 3.0.4074.0 2017-12-29
Camera ASI224MC
OS Windows 10 64 bit

After a capture the green notification bar is too narrow to read. It is impossible to read buttons when present in the bar.

How odd!

No such issue here (also Win10), so a few questions for you to try to track down what is going on...

* Has this been OK on previous versions and is now broken on 3.0.4074?
* Have you got a high resolution monitor? (ie a 4K monitor with 3840x2160 resolution or similar)
* Have you made any customizations to the windows 'Scale and Layout' settings (or font sizes?)

cheers,

Robin

We are new to SharpCap

This is a high-res monitor on a laptop.
Resolution =3840x2160 (recommended) with
Scale = 250% (recommended). Otherwise we won't be able to read the screen.

However we have the same issue when we move the window to a separate monitor with
Resolution = 1920x1080 (recommended) and
Scale = 100% (recommended)

Ok, thanks - I think that's enough info to let me start searching for a solution. When I have something I will send you a link to a new build to test if that is OK.

cheers,

That's great, Robin. Like I said, we're new to SharpCap and also Astrophotography. We haven't even taken the camera outside yet, but then it's been averaging -20C since Christmas.

I had the same issue in every build after V3.0.4017.0. I am on a Windows 10 64-bit laptop with these Display settings: Scale/Layout is 250% (recommended) and Resolution 3840x2160 (Recommended). I have reverted back to build V3.0.4017.0 until this issue is fixed. Thanks.

Please try this version - I think it should fix the issue

https://dl.sharpcap.co.uk/download.html ... 3.0.4075.0

If someone can verify that it is OK then I will make this publicly available and set it for auto-update. If it doesn't fix the issue then I might have to treat myself to a 4K monitor ;)

cheers,

I installed build 3.0.4075.0, and it is indeed fixed for me (i.e., the Notification bar and icons are back to their larger size). Thanks.

Worked for us also. Thanks so much.

And as a bonus, we can distinguish the icons on the menu bar.

Now if the skies will clear up and the temperature warm up we'll be in business.
