SharpCap can't monitor PHD2 guiding for dither
Hi; I'm trying to get SharpCap to monitor PHD2 guiding so it can dither, but SharpCap says that PHD2 isn't running. But it is, is guiding, and has the server enabled. SharpCap is monitoring the defaults, localhost and port 4400. Any ideas what is happening and how to fix it?

Hi,
check the SharpCap log just after the connection fails - there should be more information in there as to why the connection didn't work.
Some things to check that might just help:
Latest full release of PHD2 installed (not a pre-release)?
Latest SharpCap 4.0 in use?
Is PHD2 running as Admin, but SharpCap not? That might just cause communications problems.
cheers,
Robin

Thank you, Robin. I will check the log next time I have a chance (heavy clouds for the next few days though).
Also, thank you very much for writing and maintaining SharpCap. It's an amazing bit of kit, as you Brits say.
