SharpCap 3.2 crashing on "Flat Capture"

Post by Rfi »

SharpCap v3.2.6480 and 6383
Camera SV105 (SV Bony)
Windows 10
No log available

Just recently, SharpCap crashes every time I try to capture a flat frame. This happen on both my pc and my laptop. I have been capturing Flat Frames quite happily for several years. I can make SharpCap 3.1 work OK.

I cant send a screenshot as the screen is frozen, and I cant access a bug report since the application is frozen.

Everything is fine until I click step 5 "start". A green message bar says "Writing buffered frames 7 to go." Then everything freezes.

I last used this facility a few months ago.

Can you help please?

Hi,

can you please try SharpCap 4? There have been a lot of bug fixes all through the product including some in the flat capture area. Hopefully your issue will be fixed, and if not the bug reporting is improved and we stand a better chance of tracking down and solving the issue.

thanks,

Robin

Thanks for the swift reply Robin.

I can confirm that SharpCap v4 DOES work on both my computers.

Thank you for the help.
