Empty Window on second monitor

#1

Post by Luling_Skies »

Sometimes when I launch SharpCap and then drag the window over to my second monitor, the window goes empty (no preview, no menus). I drag the window back to my PC and the program's window is normal. Drag it back to the second monitor and maybe it remains normal and functioning and maybe it will be blank again. I can always get it to work on the second monitor after a few tries. I don't experience this behavior by any other programs.

HP Omen laptop
Windows 10 Home version 1703, 64 bit, 12 G RAM, 1 TB HD
Second monitor is a HP 24" monitor connected to the PC via the HDMI port.

Any ideas?

Sadly the short answer is 'no' - at least no ideas so far. Just tried this myself a dozen times or so (Win64 Pro) and had no problems.

When you drag the program to monitor #2, does it make any difference if you drag it to the top of the monitor (which will usually maximize the application to use the whole monitor) or if you drag it to the middle (leaves the application non-maximized). Any way to get it back into life without going back to monitor #1? Maybe minimize/restore or change size or something on monitor #2.

cheers,

Robin
