Live Stack test with Folder Monitor Camera - Change of Initial Frame Count sets minimum value to 10

Hi Robin,

I used the Folder Monitor Camera to test the influence of Sigma Clipping parameters in Live Stacking using a set of Raw files captured during a SharpCap Live stacking session.
So far I used the minimum value 5 for the parameter Initial Frame Count and didn't touch it until this test with the Folder Monitor Camera. After I had changed the value to 10 for test purpose it is not possible anymore to change it back to value 5, now the value of 10 is the minimum I can reach. And this is the case now for any camera, it doesn't help to close and restart SharCap (remembers all stacking parameters and I have not found something like Reset to default values) or to connect a real camera, I am not able anymore to use a value below 10 for the Initial Frame Count.

It might be that this issue (or my incorrect use of SharpCap as I have not used your software that often so far) has nothing to do with the Folder Monitor Camera and would have happened also if I would have changed the Initial Frame Count to 10 using a real camera. This I cannot test as I am not able to come back to the value of 5 (might or should be if I uninstall and install SharCap again).

I am using the latest version 3.2.6433.0 from 02.09.2020 on Win10 and Win7, same behavior on both operating system versions.

Kind regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,

you are quite correct, the initial value is five but the minimum value in the UI is 10! You can get back to the initial value by pressing the reset button that is on the log tab of the live stack UI (or at least that should work). I will adjust the UI to allow the value to be set all the way down to 5 in SharpCap 3.3.

Thanks for the report, Robin

Hi Robin,

thank you for your fast reply and the hint with the reset button on the log tab, that works. Of course resets everything, so I appreciate your plan to change the UI minimum value that can be set to 5 with the next version SharpCap 3.3.

Kind regards,
Paul
