When I open an image using the Folder Monitor Camera... the histogram is NOT what the actual image histogram is. These .fits when opened in any other program show the histogram barely off the left side but in Sharpcap it's opening as seen in the attachment. The images were captured using Voyager on an ASI2600MC.
What's going on?

Re: Folder Monitor Camera overblown histogram...
Hi,
I suspect that this is a glitch caused by SharpCap not quite understanding the way that the fits files are written by the other software that you are using. Unfortunately the FITS file format doesn't support 16-bit data in an obvious way - SharpCap uses a workaround for this but may be the Voyager software uses a different one that SharpCap doesn't understand.
If you could share one of the fits files with me I will investigate further.
Cheers,

Sure thing.

Here's a random .FIT from a recent stack.
I bet you're right. I don't think it was doing this on images captured with SGP.

Hi,
thanks for that – nothing looks obviously wrong in Fits Liberator, but I will have a play in SharpCap and see what I can see. I have removed the link from your post because the FITS file contained personally identifying information.
