QHY5III462 not detected.

Sharpcap Pro does not detect this new model QHY camera.

EZCAP picks it up, as does Sharpcap as an ASCOM camera. In ASCOM mode it reports the camera as 16 mono (it is a colour camera) Forcing a GBRG debayer gives a colour preview, but no separate colour balance sliders are available.

Drivers were installed with QHY's latest (as at July 7th, 2020) "all in one" installe, yet Sharcap does not detect it (WIn10 64bit OS)

My older model QHY cameras however work fine (QHY5L and QHY183c)

Hi,

what version of SharpCap were you using? The latest version on the downloads page (6.2 .6383) includes the most recent qhy software (update July 2020) - if you are using any version older than that I would suggest updating and then trying again.

I was using .6248.....which I assumed to be the latest version when I checked via the "check for updates" in the drop-down.

It was not!

Downloaded .6283 Problem solved!

Many thanks for the prompt reply.

Hi,

excellent – I deliberately run the auto update version somewhat behind so that I don't accidentally send out a new version that may have significant bug in it to a large number of users. Unfortunately with me focusing on SharpCap 3.3 recently it's got a bit further behind than usual.

Another thing on the to-do list :-)

Cheers, Robin
