Moravian C1 1500

#1

Post by micheleG »

Good evening
I have been using a Moravian C1 1500 camera for a few weeks, I noticed that the gamma and brightness adjustment does not appear in the camera control tab, also it is not possible to select the ROI, which is instead possible with Moravian's SIPS software.
Does anyone have any idea if it is a solvable problem?
Thank you
Michele

Hi,

These cameras do not support gamma or brightness adjustments on the camera itself, so those features in the SIPS application must be added by software processing of the image on the computer. You can get the same sort of effects to adjust the brightness of the image on screen in SharpCap by using the stretch functionality in the mini histogram – see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#!2!Min ... %20Stretch. Note that this has the added advantage of not affecting the image data save to output file allowing the raw camera data to be processed at a later stage.

The missing ROI functionality just looks to be something I haven't had a chance to implement yet. I have a new version of the Moravian instruments SDK on my to-do list to add support for new camera models, so I will look at the ROI problem when I bring in the new SDK.

Cheers, Robin
