Re: Memory
Hi,
So first, please check that you are using a recent version of SharpCap 3.2 rather than an older version of the software as you may find features are missing an old versions of the software.
Secondly, if you are using the 64-bit version of SharpCap then the classic and paged options are not shown because they are unnecessary – you just get the adjustment sliders. This is expected.
Cheers, Robin

Re: Memory
Hi, thanks for replying
I am using version 3.2.6121 64 bit
So I will not have the classic or paged options
But I still cannot move the sliders I have 4gb memory
The sliders are all the way left,
set at---
High speed frame cache (1024)
Live stacking & display (979)
So is it adding these together to equal 2gb half of the 4gb

Re: Memory
Hi,
Yes, the total of these cannot exceed half the total physical memory reported by Windows. Particularly in the case that you have only 4 GB of memory in the system, if SharpCap started to use more than 2 GB for these purposes then system performance could be severely impacted.
There's no real benefit in using the 64-bit version of SharpCap if you only have 4 GB of memory – the 32-bit version can access all 4 GB (or at least as much as the operating system will let it have) anyway. The benefit really comes when your machine has 8 GB of memory or more
Cheers, Robin

Re: Memory
Hi,
What is the other slider set to? I think there is a limit that the total of the two sliders can't be more than half of the system memory, so if you have 2 GB set on one then the other will be limited to 2 GB.
Cheers, Robin

Re: Memory
Dear Robin,
The Live Stacking & Display is at 1939 Mb.
So if I don't use the live stacking feature, I can decrease this one and increase the high speed frame cache...
Thanks for your help.
Best regards.

Re: Memory
Hi,
Yes, that's the idea – you should be able to assign 3 GB to high speed capture and 1 GB to live stacking and miscellaneous.
Cheers, Robin
