Focuser controls gray out

Hi,
Sometimes when focusing using the focus tool, the two "In" and "Out" buttons become grayed out and inoperative as shown.

The step size controls still work, so it's not like the focus window is crashed. I think this may occur when I press the "In" or "Out" buttons too quickly. Is that plausible? Disconnecting and re-connecting generally doesn't fix the problem, but manually adjusting the focus positions with the buttons on the focuser hardware generally causes the "In" and "Out" buttons to come back to life.
The focuser is myFocuserPro2 as you can see from the picture. Sharpcap is 3.2.6137. Of course, this may be a fault with the focuser, but knowing what causes the buttons to gray out may assist in fixing the focuser if necessary.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,

The main reason that the buttons would grey out is that SharpCap thinks the focuser is still moving. SharpCap will ask the focuser whether it is moving about twice per second and grey out the controls if the focuser Ascom driver reports that it's moving.

If you turn on the verbose logging option (bottom of the first page of the settings) then you should get lots of additional information in the log file that would record all the communication between SharpCap and the focuser driver along with specific logging entries recording whether the focuser reported it was moving or not.

Cheers, Robin
