myFocuserPro2 https://sourceforge.net/projects/arduin ... diy/files/ is an Open Source ASCOM focuser by Robert Brown.
I just built 3 of them for my scopes and one for a friend. On sourceforge there are a number of utilities such as stand-alone WIndows and ASCOM testing app as well as an Android app too. Bluetooth connection is via an HC-05 and that is how I shall connect SharpCap to this device. I can also connect a USB cable into the Arduino Nano's mini-USB port.
All these connection methods and types work fine except when using SharpCap 3.2 which simply fails to connect to the COM port. I reverted to SharpCap 3.1 and it works every time. Having spent 2 days testing this with different PCs (all running Windows 10 1903) and three seperate HC-05 devices I am now sure that the problem lies with 3.2
Please tell me what logs you need and I shall re-install 3.2 and try again.
Pete

Re: 3.2 and ASCOM myFocuserPro2
Hi,
do you have an up-to-date version of the ASCOM platform installed? I'd check that first and if no luck there then please post a SharpCap log showing the error.
thanks, Robin

Re: 3.2 and ASCOM myFocuserPro2
Robin,
I have ASCOM 6.4.0.2618. It works fine with all my other telescope devices AND, after an unistall, a test with 3.1 and then removing 3.1 via Control Panel then re-installing 3.2 (it kept all my settings so I guess there was some 3.1 stuff still kicking around), IT WORKS PERFECTLY EVERY TIME.
I am sorry to have troubled you. Please just write this off to an old fool who is trying to learn SharpCap.

Don't worry, happy to help and even happier when problems turn out not to be problems after all. Hope you enjoy using SharpCap
