Capture Dark/Flat Frames

Whatever you set the number of dark frames to capture you get 1 more than requested.
Whatever you set the number of flat frames to capture you get 1 more than requested.
In the file structure a Bin of 1 does not get it's own sub-file. All other Bin values get a separate sub-file.

Hi,

the number captured being one more than selected is by design - the first frame captured after you press start is discarded. The reason for this is that if you have only just covered the telescope and then immediately pressed start, there may already be a frame in progress of being captured that will not be a proper dark frame. This will be the first frame to arrive after you press start and it is obviously not wanted as it can't be trusted to be entirely dark.

The file naming is unusual for 1x1 binning, but I think if I changed this now it would actually cause more of a problem for people who already have dark libraries as they wouldn't browse the to right place. It also depends on how you think about binning - in my mind '1x1' is no binning so there is no need for a subfolder.

cheers,

Robin
