Hi Don,

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately when I load the first image into the test camera and use it for live stacking I don't see the problem that you're describing – the AWB button actually gives a fairly good white balance for me when I try that out. :(

Maybe we'll get further by using testing with the raw frames saved during a live stack – if you can send me a couple of those after your next session along with any dark or flat frames used then I could try that approach. If you happen to have recorded the session online and can point me at the link then I can compare my experience to how the feature worked for you as well.

Cheers, Robin

Hi Robin,

When I used Fitswork to debayer the .fits files The first one was very bright red and the second .fits file was slightly green. The first few .fits files were collected without manual correction which was the fits 1 image and the fits 3 image was captured after manual correction by reducing the red slider.

I'll follow up this weekend with what you suggested.

This is frame_3.fits before AWB and after AWB:

Typically what we see when AWB is pressed. The blue is inline with the green, but the red is too much and we have to manually reduce the red to line up with the blue and green in the Display histogram.
