Hi Don,

There are no errors in the SharpCap log that you've posted above – it just looks like a normal start-up log with nothing bad happening in it. Did you manage to submit a bug report upload for the problem? Could you describe what features you are using when the application crashed.

Cheers, Robin

version 3.2.5946 64bit

I open and load ASI294 camera. Start Live Stack and immediately crashes. At top it says there were no frames to save. I can't save the log and there is no crash report.

If I load with the test camera it immediately crashes and you should have received several crash reports.

Hi Don,

So far no sign of anything seriously bad in the logs that you've been posting and I haven't seen any crash reports uploaded from you for the test camera yet. I have got some test camera crash reports for the 64-bit version that don't seem to be happening in the 32-bit version so I'm going to investigate those and see if I can work out what's going on (of course it doesn't break for me).

If you could grab a screenshot of the problem happening that would be helpful as it would start to put me on the right track.

Robin,

I tried using the Test Camera and it crashes just after it attempts to load. I've tried this several times and clicked the error message to send.

Instead of the test camera I can connect to the ASI294, but when I try Live Stack it crashes and says that there are no frames to be saved. Which has nothing to do with what I executed. The log at the end tells what happens.

Attached is the error that shows only with the test camera.

Hi Don,

Thanks for that, I can see your reports now and I can see the problem to – a setting that determines how much memory should be used to somehow got set to zero, which should never happen. I'll try and work out how that happened and also write some code to make sure that a sensible minimum value is used if it does happen to find a value of zero for the maximum memory usage.

Hi Don,

Please try the very latest version – I think I have fixed this issue although there is a 2nd issue that I am getting reports of on 64-bit that I haven't tracked down yet. Please note that if you only have 4 GB of memory available to Windows then there's really not much benefit in running the 64-bit version.

Cheers, Robin
