Hi,
sounds like you have to use a hub since you only have one USB port - in that case it really becomes a case of tinkering with the 'Turbo USB' setting on the camera (turn it down for ZWO cameras), checking and swapping cables and hub to find a setup that works. It sounds as though you are well along in trying to get this issue sorted - as Dave points out the best test of software compatibility is to try with minimal direct cable.
