Error with iOptron AltAz Pro

Hi,

I'm trying Sharpcap 3.0 with my iOptron Alt-Az pro mount and I'm receiving an error (when changing camera and SC connects to the mount):
Error method ascom.ioptron.telescope.axisrates not found (may not be the exact text)
This is an ASCOM compliant mount and successfully use it with Stellarium and other software. It passes the ASCOM compliance test utility (shown below). Could the problem be because it's an alt-az mount?

Hi,

thanks for the detailed error report. I will have to send you a test version to try out against your mount to see if I can work out what is going on.

I already have a backup version of the code for talking to ASCOM mounts but I wasn't using it as I thought the current method was working for all mounts up until now. I will contact you by PM when I have something for you to test - probably in a day or two.

Check out the next build - should be out maybe this evening or tomorrow. I have put some code in that will fall back to the alternate approach if the standard one fails to get the axis rates. Also extra logging in case that still doesn't work!

That build worked. I'm only able to select rates of 1x or 16x, but not sure if that's WAD or because rates can't be read from my mount. Attached log.

Good news that it worked for you - sadly I broke a lot of other ASCOM mounts with the change so I have just put out another updated build that should work in both cases :oops:

The lack of available rates is because it's not interacting well with the way your mount defines rates (most other mounts specify a range rather than specific values). Now I've seen the way your mount defines the rates I think I can fix it easily enough.
