Polar align crash

#1

Post by mynameiscd »

Hi all
Here's my first post and its a crash thing.
Cant seem to start polar align tool. I have the paid version and it crashes while trying to plate solve. I've even tried the V2 simulator and that crashes too.
Ill attach a log file etc.
Hope I can work this out, looks like a good program.

Version 3.2.6117.0
Camera = ASI 120MC-S
Win 10 Cheers

Hi,

I see from the bug report that you are using the 64-bit version of SharpCap. I've had one other report of a similar problem in the 64-bit version that seemed to go away when the user changed to the 32-bit version of SharpCap. I don't quite understand the cause of the problem, since the 64-bit version seems to work fine for me.

Anyway, for now I'd suggest installing 32-bit version to see if that gets you a workaround.

Hi Robin,
I'll give the 32bit a go when I get home. I don't get any crashes with PHD2 or the ASI native app so its a SC thing.

Hi Andy,

Hope that it works for you. I tried the 64-bit version (very latest build) on a brand-new Windows 10 home installation today and it works just fine. That kind of leaves me scratching my head because my first guess would have been that some files missing from your and present on others perhaps because of different pieces of software being installed. The fact that it works fine on a clean windows installed kind of scratches that possibility.

Cheers, Robin
