Suggestion for the "Windows Media not detected" warning added in 4.0.7928.0
I for one have it not installed on purpose but now each time I open SC, that warning pops up.
Maybe an option to have a toggle in that warning window to not show that again?

Re: Toggle warning "Windows Media not detected"
Hi Menno,
ah, OK, I was expecting almost everyone to have it installed. I will make the message only happen once, since that is probably the easiest thing.
cheers,
Robin

Ah no. A lot of people are using alternative media players and codecs. Like the VLC Media Player which is so much better than native Windows media
No need for Windows media then, so a lot (if not all) Windows media things are disabled/removed.

Re: Toggle warning "Windows Media not detected"
Hi,
it's not so much Windows Media Player being missing that is the problem, it's the lower level stuff that is part of the media pack being missing that can cause webcams (and oddly Celestron/Imaging Source cameras) to not work.
cheers,
Robin
