HOWTO Getting Started with Deep Sky Imaging

#1

Post by turfpit »

The attached document describes some basic steps in how to approach capturing a deep sky image. The example uses an Altair 183C CMOS colour camera. The capture settings used are guidelines. Settings will vary depend on equipment and sky conditions. The attached PDF is compressed and therefore the content has reduced quality.

Hopefully, the document will be of use to those who are starting out with deep sky imaging.

Hi Dave:
Thats and interesting document but I did not find an answer to my question on whether SC can provide individual frames for Darks, Flats, etc.
Cheers
