Image settings for dark frames
When creating dark frames are the image settings (Brightness, White Bal (R), White Bal (B)) significant?

Re: Image settings for dark frames
Hi,
for the colour balance, just use the same values for the dark as the light frames.
Brightness should be either the same or lower in the dark frames. Having a lower brightness in the dark frames than the light frames will introduce a uniform pedestal value to the dark subtracted image, but may lead to a more natural look near the black point in the final image as it avoids clipping of negative values (where the dark pixel is a brighter value than the light pixel).
cheers,
Robin
